A way for PE teachers to connect in the Middle East , Africa , India and the rest of the world !!!

The #PhysedME idea, came when there seemed to be a lack of connectivity and collaboration from PE teachers in the Middle East , Africa and India. Educators whom love to share and be part of ongoing professional development.

At #PhysedME we are looking to grow to build a strong, well established #PEPLC team in the Middle East , Africa , India ( #PEPLCME ) .

But why do we need to do this? ?

So what is #PEPLC  ?

Physical Education Professional Learning Community

In 2013  Andy Vasily with group of great PE teachers  launched the initiative of setting Up a Professional Learning Community for PE #PEPLC

As a group we struggled in the beginning getting PE teachers involved and taking part in #PEPLCME, so as we were a small group we decided to take two steps back !!!

first step:  trying to get more PE teachers on Twitter  and convince them and show them how important it was to have an active PLN to aid in their own development and strive to becoming a great Educator.

Step two : Voxer !!

which I like to call ( Educators WhatsApp ) , now we meet and share ideas not every month, but every day!!!

if you would like to join, and be a part of this exciting community, where amazing ideas are shared contantly, please download the Voxer app and add : physed to your contacts and we will do the rest!!

After taking these two steps back, more teachers showed an interest, and word started to spread about #PhysedME.  We was now ready to take the group in a forward and upward direction.

Google Hangouts (GHO) was the next big stepping stone.  We recently had our second GHO, with many more planned.

As a team we are planning to start a global PE teachers twitter chat, in addition to the #PEchat , called #slowchatpe having a question every day to answer !!

You are all welcome to join #PhysedME, currently we have teachers from all over the world, though we are focusing on the Middle East,we have amazing teachers from USA and the UK who have been great addition to our team.

Inquiry into Learning

Learning is a part of life that keeps all living things alive. How we learn is an inquiry.

With 7 billion people in the world, we are each only a dot...but what a beautiful picture we make when we begin to connect!
